CGFNS verifies foreign nurses’ credentials and educational qualifications and identifies those who should pass the U.S. nurse licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) prior to immigration. A qualifying examination that assesses nursing proficiency and English language comprehension earns nurses a CGFNS certificate and eligibility for nonimmigrant occupational preference visas.
